[edit] Nave_Ninja

Nave_Ninja (Evan Warnke) is a veteran staff member of Renegade Boards. He joined in the late months of 2006, coming to Renegade from another forum (see below passage for details). Nave comes from Wisconsin and is currently 17 years old.

[edit] Early Career

Nave's First Icon
Nave first came to Renegade while posting at Midway Boards, a forum mostly dedicated to Mortal Kombat. It is here where Nave would pick up certain quality traits that would later help him in his Renegade career, most notably his talent for forum RPGs, in which someone would often choose a character from a video game (in this case, Mortal Kombat) and would spell out what the character(s) would say or do. Nave gained many friends from these RPGs, and soon went on to make his own. Kaacey (at the time Head Admin of Renegade) noticed potential in Nave, so he sent an invitation via private message to join Renegade.

Nave immediately went to check the place out, and found it to be quite enjoyable. Soon enough, he was a regular user at Renegade, having left Midway behind due to them shutting down his (and everyone else's) RPGs. Nave began his work at Renegade, starting small-time RPGs, but then went back to Midway to recruit his old RPG friends to come to Renegade and play. Soon, Nave had brought at least eight regular users, and more were to follow.

It was around this time that Nave was gaining some local popularity from other users. He had already earned a title for himself by competing in a contest (the challenge to bring five users to Renegade) which he won almost the day it was put up. Soon, he was once again contacted by Kaacey, who offered him a staff position once he reached 1,000 posts. Nave hastily agreed, very eager to join the ranks of the staff members. Not too long afterwards, Nave hit 1,000 posts and was promoted to VIP.

A Rising Star

It was around this time that Nave began making RPGs in the newly-made RPG Spot. Here, the RPGs flourished. The RPG Spot was soon pulling in more posts than any other board, and soon became the second-largest board in all of Renegade (behind the Hot Spot). As the RPG Spot grew, so did Nave. He began to broaden his horizons, moving into writing stories at the Fan-Fic board. He incorporated some elements of his RPGs into the stories, making most of his early works joinable by the general public.

Soon, Nave was promoted to the staff rank of Moderator, a position he held onto for a very long time. With his new power, he expanded his rule over the RPG Spot, locking RPGs that were done or banning users who were becoming unruly. Nave was enjoying his time at Renegade, and began to bring many of his friends from real life to the forum, many of whom are still current members. One of them, Tony (username SkullHead881) even managed to land a temporary staff spot as a VIP, due to his work in the RPG Spot.

Decline of the RPGs

As time went on, Nave grew bored with the RPGs. They just didn’t have the flare that they used to, in his opinion. He was becoming more preoccupied and entertained with his story work and artistic skills. He was also receiving much more praise for his other work, as opposed to the RPGs, which were now drifting away from his control.

So, in an attempt to bring back the spirit that had once possessed him so, he executed a bold and risky move. He deleted all of the topics in the RPG Spot, moving them to an undisclosed location in the forum, and temporarily shut it down. He worked with other members to build a new RPG Spot, which was renamed The Lair. With his newly given rank of Manager, he was able to orchestrate all of this.

Needless to say, the Lair performed fairly well early on, but eventually died off. Nave closed the Lair, and it remains closed to this day.

Current Status

Nave became an Editor when Kaacey temporarily left Renegade. Although Nave campaigned for an Adminship, he was denied, and resolved to remain and Editor.

[edit] Activities and Projects

Being one of Renegade’s most recognized and regular users, Nave participates in many community activities and projects, some of which are his own design, or he had a hand in making them.

Undead Renegade

The first story Nave ever wrote for Renegade, users could sign up to participate. It followed a group of survivors in a zombie apocalypse. A theme of the story was that users would die, and often three or four would die in each chapter that came out.

Micro Heroes

Micro Heroes have always been a big thing for Nave. He finds their simple, yet complex nature fun to work with. “Hard to start, easy to end.” Nave remarked once to a user.

Marvel Renegade

Undoubtedly the best story Nave has written to date, Marvel Renegade has spawned its own board, series of Micro Heroes and a large fanbase. It follows a group of people who wake up in a radically different world, with the powers of characters from Marvel Comics. Nave plans to have future installments past the first MR.

Survivor

Nave has participated in nearly every Survivor to date, usually on the Red Team. However, he has lost all interest in the game, and will not participate again in any future installments, due to disappointment suffered in the past.

Renegade Court

Renegade Court was developed by Nave and FC, who collaborated to create it. Renegade Court is, literally, a courtroom, with lawyers and judges and jurors serving on cases. Cases are presented to the board, a judge will accept the case, and defendant and the plantiff will choose their lawyers, and from there it moves along like a normal court would.

YouTube Videos

Nave frequently makes videos and hosts them on YouTube, making him the first Renegade user to vlog. Currently, he has over 40 videos hosted.

Legends of Renegade

Nave's pet project, a game that's far more in-depth than a simple forum RPG. The first version of the game was released and subsequently shut down, due to Nave's inability to run it by himself. A second attempt at running the game with other people has met with a stand-still to production, leaving only the boards up, but no users have access to them. Status on the game is unconfirmed.

[edit] Relationship with Other Users

Nave likes to be friendly and helpful, and is perfectly content with staying in the shadows of an event, or someone along the sidelines who often speaks but mostly listens. It is well-known that he will often help anyone he can with his staff powers. Sometimes, Nave holds grudges, but usually only against users who dont' follow rules, act like complete idiots, spam, or flame other users for no reason.
